If your Netflix charge shows up on your Comcast bill, you already know the frustration: you can’t cancel Netflix billed through Xfinity at Netflix.com. The cancel button simply won’t be there. You have to do it through Xfinity — and the path depends on how you signed up.

This guide covers both cases: the standalone Netflix add-on and the newer StreamSaver bundle. Follow the right one and you’re done in a few minutes.

Step 1 — Confirm Who Bills You

Before touching anything, check your billing source at netflix.com/account. Sign in and look under Membership & Billing.

If Xfinity handles your billing, you’ll see a note like “You’re billed through Comcast Xfinity” instead of a normal payment method and a Cancel button. That confirms you must cancel on Xfinity’s side.

Also note which product you have — the two cancel in different places:

📺 Netflix Standalone Add-On

Netflix by itself on your Xfinity bill.

🎬 StreamSaver Bundle

Netflix packaged with Peacock and Apple TV+ at a discount.

Step 2A — Cancel the Standalone Netflix Add-On

If Netflix is a standalone line item:

  1. Open the Xfinity app or go to xfinity.com and sign in.
  2. Go to Account → Services (or Manage Streaming / Add-ons).
  3. Find Netflix in your list of subscriptions.
  4. Select it, then choose Remove or Cancel subscription.
  5. Confirm. You’ll get an on-screen or email confirmation.

That’s it — no phone call needed for the standalone add-on.

Step 2B — Cancel Netflix via StreamSaver

StreamSaver is a bundle, so you can’t drop Netflix alone — canceling it ends the whole bundle, including Peacock and Apple TV+.

  1. In the Xfinity app or site, go to Streaming or Entertainment Management.
  2. Find StreamSaver.
  3. Look for Remove or Cancel StreamSaver and confirm.

⚠️ Known bug: Xfinity’s self-service screen sometimes hides the Remove option for StreamSaver. If you don’t see it, don’t keep hunting — use the fallback:

Chat/phone: Contact Xfinity support via live chat or call 1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489) and ask them to cancel StreamSaver. Get a confirmation number.

After You Cancel

Access end date. Netflix usually stays active until the end of your current billing cycle, then shuts off. You won’t be refunded for the remaining days.

🔎 Double-billing check — do this. If you had Netflix before moving to Xfinity billing, your old payment method (card or PayPal) can silently reactivate after the Xfinity subscription ends. A few days after canceling, log back into netflix.com/account and confirm there’s no active payment method you didn’t intend. This is the most common way people end up paying twice.

If you want to keep Netflix but move billing back to Netflix directly, you can restart it at Netflix.com once the Xfinity subscription lapses.

FAQ

Will I get a refund for the rest of the month?

No. Netflix and Xfinity don’t prorate — you keep access until the cycle ends, then it stops.

Do I have to cancel my Xfinity internet or TV to cancel Netflix?

No. Netflix is a separate add-on. Removing it doesn’t affect your core Xfinity services.

Canceling StreamSaver — do I really lose Peacock and Apple TV+?

Yes. StreamSaver is one bundled subscription. Cancel it and all three services end together. If you want to keep one, subscribe to it directly instead.

The Remove button isn’t showing. Now what?

That’s the known UI bug. Skip self-service and cancel through Xfinity chat or phone, and note your confirmation number.

💡 Takeaway: Confirm Xfinity is your biller, cancel the standalone add-on or StreamSaver bundle in the Xfinity app (phone/chat if the button’s missing), then recheck Netflix a few days later so an old card doesn’t quietly start charging you again.
